David Ortiz enters F-bomb Hall of Fame (NSFW)

David Ortiz gained plenty of attention last spring when he delivered a passionate speech at Fenway Park, addressing how the city of Boston was feeling in the days after the tragedy at the 2013 Boston Marathon (see above video).

The F-word was involved, but was immediately (and rightfully) forgiven by the public.

Ortiz added to his legacy as a Lord of loose language Tuesday, when he went on a rant in a Florida parking lot to the Boston Herald’s John Tomase.

Talking about those who complain about him complaining about his contract, Ortiz (you guessed it) complained. The F-word was involved.

“I don’t even know why they’re bitching about me talking about contracts,” Ortiz said. “Guys putting up my numbers, they’re making $25, $30 million. I’m not asking for that. I’m asking for half of it. And they’re still bitching about it? (expletive) them. I’m tired of hearing them talk (expletive) about me when I talk about my contract. Hey, every time I talk about my contract, I earn it, (expletive). So don’t be giving me that (expletive).”

Tremendous.

With the rant, Ortiz enters the hallowed halls of the Sports F-bomb Hall of Fame, joining such luminaries as Bob Knight, Wally Backman, Tommy Lasorda and Bruce Boudreau. Remember those who came before you, David:
