Recently, Red Sox fans have been having fun with Mike Napoli’s name on Twitter. Given his penchant for striking out, some havedubbed him Mike”Knapoli.” With a K. For strikeout. Get it?
The timing of this couldn’t have been a coincidence now that we know Napoli apparently enjoys the company of a member of the profession which invented last name letter hijinks. Yes, Napoli knows porn star Rachel Starr (that’s two, count ’em, TWO R’s!) Unless, of course, Starr is simply some kind of average baseball player stalker, which can’t entirely be ruled out. Starr tweeted the following to her 193,000-plus followers last night: “Looks like I’m going to the baseball game tonight in San Fran to see @MikeNapoli25 WIN!! Awwwwww can’t wait to hang out after!”
“@KendraLust @MikeNapoli25 I wish u were going with me! Mike is one of my fav friends to hang out with!”
Starr didn’t get to see much of Napoliduring the Giants’ 3-2 win at least. Napoli didn’t appear until the eighth inning, and his one at-bat was a quiet ground out to short in the ninth inning.
It should be noted that Starr isn’t afraid of performing while her “friends” are doing their jobs. In April, she gave rapper Machine Gun Kelly oral sex on stage during a concert in Dallas. Some Grand Ol’ Opry kind of stuff.
If Bud Selig is truly looking for a way to spice up the game, this could be a start.
