Trump’s ‘Art of the Deal’ co-author Tony Schwartz predicts he’s about to resign

Will Trump resign? One man answers with a resounding “yes.” The ghost writer from President Donald Trump’s much-read “Art of the Deal” is predicting that Trump is ready to call it quits.

On Twitter on Wednesday Tony Schwartz, co-author of Trump’s most widely-read book, wrote, “the circle is closing at blinding speed. Trump is going to resign and declare victory before Mueller and congress leave him no choice.”

And, “Trump’s presidency is effectively over. Would be amazed if he survives till end of the year. More likely resigns by fall, if not sooner.”

In follow-up tweets, Schwatrz, who hasn’t always been Trump’s biggest fan, said the president would try to secure immunity in the Russia investigation in exchange for his resignation.

“The Russia stuff will be huge,” Schwartz wrote. “He doesn’t want to go to jail.”

It’s unclear whether Schwartz is just speculating or if he has actual evidence, but this isn’t the first time the “Art of the Deal” co-author has predicted such a dramatic end to the presidency — he came up with a similar conclusion in May.

“I surely believe that at some point over the next period of time he’s going to have to figure out a way to resign,” Schwartz told CNN at the time.

Despite having co-authored his most well-known book, “The Art of the Deal,” Schwartz hasn’t always been Trump’s biggest fan.

While he did advise Trump for free on the campaign trail against Hillary Clinton in 2016, Schwatz has regretted his part in making a politician out of Donald Trump.

“This is my penance for having created a man who has become a monster,” he said. “I’ve spent 30 years feeling bad about it.”

Schwartz also said he would donate his share of the profits from “The Art Of The Deal” to the National Immigration Law Center, an organization that helps low-income immigrants assimilate into society.
