Still waiting
Shonn Greene’s breakout was going to happen last year. Nope. It was surely going to be this year, right? Wrong again. Greene is averaging just 2.9 yards per carry this season even though teams aren’t stacking the box against the Jets. He doesn’t play on passing downs, is a poor receiver out of the backfield and isn’t showing any burst. With the Jets’ offensive line already underperforming and getting ready to play without C Nick Mangold (ankle), it doesn’t figure to get any better.
Roll up the Blount
LeGarrette Blount is a lot like Greene. He’s not that athletic so he struggles as a receiver and in space. When the Bucs are behind, Earnest Graham is usually their primary back. Now is a perfect time to sell Blount, who scored two touchdowns in Week 2.
Pushed up Hillis
The most appealing part of Peyton?Hillis’s fantasy game are his monster workloads. It’s also a curse. By touching the ball 25 to 30 times a game, he gets worn down. Hillis is getting just 3.4 YPC?this year after sinking to 3.9 over the final eight games of last year. And now his coach is saying that he wants to back off Hillis and get Montario Hardesty more involved. The time to bail is now.
