Bruins take 2-0 series lead, beat Rangers 5-2

The Bruins took a 2-0 series lead over the Rangers Sunday, courtesy of a 5-2 victory at TD Garden.

The B’s separated themselves from New York in the third period as Brad Marchand scored 26 seconds into the final frame and Milan Lucic put things out of reach for the Rangers when he scored at the 12:36 mark off assists from David Krejci and Dougie Hamilton.

Torey Krug, Gregory Campbell and Johnny Boychuk tallied the early Boston goals.

The series resumes Tuesday in New York (7:30 p.m., NBCSN).
