Giants not interested in talking Tebow

The media took all of one question to ask Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora about this weekend’s impending matchup with Jets quarterback Tim Tebow.

He was just the first of many Giants players to be peppered with the inevitable onslaught of attention.

Umenyiora was asked if he was curious to see how the Jets would be using Tebow.

“No,” Tuck responded. “I’m just curious on getting better. I think the most improvement should be made from Week 1 to Week 2. So, I’m just curious for us to get better as a football team.”

His fellow lineman Justin Tuck was slightly more diplomatic, but the shower of attention for their crosstown rivals’ backup quarterback was clearly not of interest.

“I’m just eager to play the game, and fortunately for us it involves Tebow. I might not even get the opportunity to play against him. I don’t know how they’re going to do it,” Tuck said. “What I’m worried about is their right tackle, their right guard, their center, their left guard and their left tackle. That’s what I’m facing. Quarterbacks are just a bonus.”

Oddly enough, the Jets weren’t asked one question about Giants backup David Carr during yesterday’s media session.
