Kendrick Perkins will be out for the foreseeable future after tearing his right ACL during Game 6 of the NBA Finals.
His injury is comparable to that suffered by Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker — but that’s where the similarities between the two athletes end.
“Well, I can’t follow advice from Wes Welker because he’s like, 2 feet shorter than me and 150 pounds lighter than me,” Perkins said.
“So we’re in two different situations. But I’m working hard, like Wes Welker. He did motivate me to see that you can get back out there. He looks better than ever, like he never lost a beat.”
