SHAKE THOSE POM-POMS, GRANDMA

Like a lot of women in Texas, Sharon Simmons wants to be a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. Unlike a lot of women in Texas, Sharon Simmons is a grandmother of two.

So goes the saga unfolding in the city we love to hate. A 55-year-old plans to audition to be on the famed Dallas cheerleading squad in May. No, she’s dead serious.

“On stage, I blend right in with women in their 20s, 30s and up,” Simmons said.

Simmons is a national fitness competitor and she has been working with a trained choreographer, who also happens to be a former Cowboys cheerleader.

TUBE JOB

Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge was arrested on Feb. 24 for stealing aluminum tubing at a drill site in Louisiana, according to multiple reports. He was released after posting $2,000 bond. The aluminum was worth $1,500.

EVAN TURNER’S MAIN SQUEEZE

Sixers guard Evan Turner may never live up to his No. 2 overall billing on the hardwood. The second-year player is averaging 8.2 points and 5.6 rebounds per game this season.

Off the court, he’s right on target. Turner announced to the world, via Twitter, Wednesday night that his girlfriend is smoking hot. Take a look …
