Take a shot of favorite fliers

It’s the 12th round and you’re on your 11th beer. After hemming and hawing for 30 seconds, you just throw out a name you know: Brett Favre! Ugh.

The final few picks of your draft must not be throwaways. We need to build depth and take shots on players that have high ceilings. Here are the best fliers with average draft positions of 110 or higher:

Sir Lance

Drew Brees begged for the Saints to retain Lance Moore in free agency and they did just that. Now that Reggie Bush is gone, there are more slot targets for Moore, and he’s reportedly having the best training camp of any New Orleans receiver.

Law firm issues

Third-round rookie RB?Stevan Ridley has been the star of the preseason so far, going over 100 total yards in two straight games. BenJarvus Green-Ellis is far from an elite talent, so Ridley could very well get his shot as soon as this season. And if the “Law Firm” were to get injured, Ridley would have big upside as the clear goal-line back.

Cook on site

The only reason Jared Cook still has an ADP of 158.9 is because no one knows who he is. After the public gets a look at his freakish talent and major role in the offense, that will change. Cook is a good bet to lead the Titans in receptions and seize top-10 tight end value by the end of the year.
