14 organizations facing safety raps

The Department of Labour and Workforce Development has charged 14 organizations under the health and safety act this year.

They were charged with 41 infractions ranging from failing to provide information to an occupational health and safety officer to not taking reasonable measures to ensure the health and safety of people at a workplace, a release said. Marilyn More, minister of Labour and Workforce Development, said last year 32 workers died.
