When the 2018 NFL Draft goes down, it will be 14 years since the Giants drafted Eli Manning and the Chargers drafted Philip Rivers. If things continue to play out like we’ve seen so far in the 2017 NFL season, then both the Giants and Chargers could be in the market for a QB like Sam Darnold of USC, Josh Rosen of UCLA, Lamar Jackson of Louisville or Clayton Thorson of Northwestern.
Manning is currently 17th in NFL passer rating (90.3), behind players like Case Keenum and Andy Dalton. Rivers is currently 20th in NFL passer rating (87.8), right behind Trevor Siemian and slightly ahead of Josh McCown.
Both Manning and Rivers are quarterbacking teams with 0-4 records, so as hard as it is to believe – considering both have been the face of their respective franchise for over a decade – both teams may choose to draft successors in the 2018 NFL Draft. Here is our latest mock.
