3 events to check out at the New York Food & Wine Festival

Score your seat at the table for the city’s biggest foodie event of the fall — tickets for theNew York City Wine & Food Festivalare on sale now.

The Food Network-sponsored event, which takes place Oct. 16-19,will feature more than 100 food-related events, including tastings, parties and seminars.Celebrity guests include singer Jon Bon Jovi, Cronut creator Dominique Ansel, “My Grandmother’s Ravioli” host Mo Rocca and more.

All proceeds from the event benefit the Food Bank for New York City and the No Kid Hungry campaign.Last year, more than $1 million was raised to relieve hunger in the city.

Here are three standout events from this year’s festival:

From the Middle East to Manhattan

Three chefs will bring the tastes of contemporary Israeli cuisine to Manhattan, drawing on Middle Eastern and Mediterranean traditions. Sara Kramer has done a stint at Brooklyn’s Glasserie and was namedEater’sChef of the Year in 2013. Michael Solomonov is the Israeli-born, James Beard Award-winning chef of Zahav in Philadelphia. Einat Admony took a modern route with a falafel truck, then opening Taim in the West Village and Balaboosta in NoLiTa.$225, must be 21+,

Ample Hills & Brooklyn’s Best Dessert Party

Brooklyn comes to you with a late-night ice cream social featuring Ample Hills Creamery, as well as One Girl Cookies, Liddabit Sweets, Ovenly and Four & Twenty Blackbirds. $125, must be 21+,

Meatopia X: The Carnivore’s Ball

Leave your vegetarian date at home. For this meat-centric event, chefs will be cooking up beef, pork, lamb, poultry and wild game over live wood fires; and, of course, as in Meatopias past “celebrity butcher” Pat LaFrieda will cook and serve a 1,000-pound steer. $150, must be 21+,
