Three TSA agents at LaGuardia Airport were injured early Wednesday morning by what officials are calling “hazardous materials.”
Around 6 a.m., the workers were exposed to the materials while inspecting a bag at a check-in area in Terminal B, ABC 7 reported. The workers complained of eye irritation from what Port Authority officials later described as a food product.
According to Newsday, the workers were taken to Elmhurst Hospital. No passengers were injured, and the incident did not cause any flight delays. However, LaGuardia tweeted that Terminal B reopened after authorities cleared the bag and warned of “long lines” at check-in.
