The National Capital Commission expects close to 3,000 skiers to hit the trails during Winterlude for the 33rd annual Gatineau Loppet.
The event — among the world’s most prestigious cross-country ski competitions — is expected to attract expert and amateur skiers from 20 countries.
With more than 200 kilometres of cross-country skiing trails, executive vice-president of operations at NCC, Jean-François Trépanier, calls Gatineau Park “a worldwide reference for cross-country skiers and outdoor enthusiasts.”
The loppet will take place Feb. 18 to 20.
