He was later pronounced dead at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital.Escanio had been struck by two different vehicles while attempting to cross Amsterdam, police said. Both drivers remained on the scene.

On Saturday afternoon just after 4 p.m., 40-year-old Albert Marku was killed when the Honda motorcycle he was driving struck another vehicle on Williamsbridge Rd. in the Bronx, police said. The other driver stayed on the scene and no arrests have been made.

Just twenty minutes later, 31-year-old Darien Baker of Yonkers was driving his motorcycle on Queens Blvd and 58th Street in Woodside when he collided with a 78-year-old female pedestrian before crashing into a fence and a tree. Both Baker and the victim, who has not been identified, were taken to Elmhurst Hospital, where they were pronounced dead of severe trauma.

Finally, at 9:37 p.m. on Saturday, police received a report of a hit and run at Eastern Parkway and Rockaway Parkway in Brooklyn.
