For two days only, Brooklyn’s brioche-style doughnut specialist Dough is teaming up with Belgian chocolatier Callebaut for the Chocolate Doughnut Takeover. On April 1-2, every doughnut at Dough’s Flatiron location (14 W. 19th St.) will be dipped, frosted and made with every kind of decadent Belgian chocolate. Sorry, Brooklynites, the treats won’t be available at the Dough mothership in Bed-Stuy — you’ll have to trudge to Manhattan for this one.
It’s an exciting time at Dough, where founder and head chef Fany Gerson has been expanding her offerings recently, introducing cake-style doughnuts and the Doughka, a babka-inspired twisted treat.
