Hollywood star Liam Neeson has not given up his fight to keep horse carriages in New York City, and he recently invited the mayor and the City Council to tour the city’s largest horse stable.

The New York Daily News reported that the actor plans to tour Clinton Park Stables on West 52nd Street on Sunday. He sent out invitations to Mayor Bill de Blasio and all 51 members of the City Council on Friday.

Only Councilman Ben Kallos of the Upper East Side has agreed to attend so far, a spokesman for the carriage owners told the News.

The carriage owners say they believe the elected officials should see the conditions of the stables firsthand.

“[Animal rights groups] have said the stables are horrible places, and they’re not,” one carriage operator told the News.

De Blasio and Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito have not yet said if they would attend the tour.

Neeson said on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” last week that he is “a little bit p—ed off” at the new mayor.

“He wants to close this horse and carriage industry in New York. There was a poll last week: Over 60 percent of New Yorkers want to keep the horse carriage industry in Central Park,” he said.
