Aerosmith postpones concert set for Calgary

Calgary Aerosmith fans are split over the news that the band is postponing the western leg of their tour after its lead singer was injured in a fall last week.

Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler injured himself when he fell off the stage during a show last week and now the band has had to postpone their western dates, including on Thursday in Calgary.

CJ92 on-air music director and avid Aerosmith fan Russman said he is disappointed he will have to wait a bit longer to see the band but said he isn’t upset by the decision.

“I’m a big fan and it’s disappointing but they are good guys and they will make the dates up, they aren’t going to disappoint their fans,” Russman told Metro.

“I am sure they are just as disappointed they can’t perform as the fans are.”

But Penny Brown was supposed to work at the show and said she wishes the band carried on despite the fall.

“I think it’s a shame, it has put a damper on things. I’d rather have seen them play anyways,” she added.

Rescheduled tour dates will be announced.
