“The Real Housewives of New York City” star Alex McCord last night denied reports that she had been fired from the show – but admitted her future lay in the balance.
A number of media outlets reported Thursday afternoon that Bravo execs had told McCord, Jill Zarin and Kelly Bensimon that they wouldn’t be returning for the show’s fifth season.
But Alex told Metro Thursday night: “I can only speak for myself, but I have not been fired. I have been told, however, that a decision will be made shortly. I’m not out, but I’m not in, either.”
The trio was told Thursday afternoon, according to reports.
Informed sources told Metro that McCord had been “left in limbo” by yesterday’s call. The same source indicated that Zarin and Benismon might already know their fate.
Another insider told Metro that those Housewives who remained would do so on half their previous salary.
“Now is the time for ‘Housewives’ fans to let Bravo know who they want to stay on the show. Bravo listens to that kind of stuff,” Metro was told.
