OKOTOKS, Alta. – RCMP say a severely burned man who stopped traffic
Friday night may be linked to a suspicious fourplex fire in a community
south of Calgary.
Police say the 23-year-old man, who suffered
burns over several areas of his body, was trying to stop motorists in
Okotoks, Alta., after he was injured.
He was taken to hospital in Calgary via air ambulance and he’s in serious condition.
Police say one unit of the fourplex was badly damaged by the fire, while three others received minor damage.
No one else was injured in the blaze and police say they’re treating the fire as suspicious.
