Bike-lane report sought

Halifax regional council has taken the next step towards a bike-lane corridor to connect South End Halifax to the North End and eventually Bedford.

Council voted last night for staff to report on what such a corridor will entail — including the loss of on-street parking.

“Cyclists are looking for safe passage and for us to be forerunners with this,” said Coun. Dawn Sloane.
