The Piano Man is coming to the park.
Billy Joel will play a concert at Fenway Park in June, Live Nation announced on Thursday.
Joel, a six-time Grammy award winner who has sold more than 150 million albums worldwide, will perform June 26. It will be his first solo headlining performance in Boston in five years.
“It is an honor to bring Billy Joel back to Boston and have him play historic Fenway Park. His music transcends generations. This will be an event that fans will remember for years to come,” said Don Law, president of Live Nation New England.
Like previous Fenway Park concerts, the stage will be set up in front of the outfield bleachers and Green Monster. Previous Fenway Park performances include Jay Z and Justin Timberlake, Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones, Dave Matthews Band and Bruce Springsteen.
Tickets go on sale online Feb. 8 at 10 a.m.
