Bobby Brown talks about daughter’s death on ‘The Dr. Oz Show’

Sony Pictures Television

On today’s episode of “The Dr. Oz Show,” music star Bobby Brown discusses the death of his daughter Bobbi Kristina, who he thinks is responsible and his own struggles with drug abuse.

Last year, Brown filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Bobbi Kristina’s boyfriend, Nick Gordon, for the death of his daughter. In it, Gordon was accused of beating her up and giving her a lethal cocktail that made her fall into a coma, which led to her passing.

Bobby Brown comments to Dr. Oz on how he’s doing now:

“I’m doing great. I mean, of course, on an everyday basis I still, you know, I still think about her and I still go through it, but, I think I’m a lot more comfortable with, knowing that she’s in a better place, knowing that, she’s not in pain anymore, you know, and I’m just grateful for that.”

He also touches on his own struggles with drug abuse:

“It just takes over you. It takes over your mind, your spirit, your everything. I wasn’t living for myself, I was living just to get high again. And that’s the part you know you’re sober, you realize that I really didn’t wash for two weeks. You realize that when you’re not using. I don’t know where it came from but I just wish something just takes it all away so nobody else has to go through the pain and the suffering that I went through.”
