According to Deadline, a book and movie about the Patriots superstar and his team’s incredible comeback at Super Bowl LI are currently in the works. “Boston Strong” authors Dave Wedge and Casey Sherman are attached to write the book, titled “12,” which was recently picked up by local publishers Little, Brown and Company after a bidding war, and is eying a 2018 release date.

As for the movie side of things, Deadline reports that screenwriters Paul Tamasy and Eric Johnson, who earned an Oscar nod for penning 2010’s “The Fighter,” are attached to write the script. The duo also wrote Disney’s “The Finest Hours,” starring Casey Affleck, which is adaptation of Sherman’s book of the same name.

Tamasy and Johnson also recently received story by credits on the Boston Maraton bombing movie “Patriots Day,” starring Mark Wahlberg, Kevin Bacon and J.K. Simmons. The film was partly inspired by Wedge and Sherman’s “Boston Strong.”

Although “12” is expected to chronicle the highs of Brady’s surprising 5th Super Bowl win, it won’t shy away from the lows that preceded the championship performance. The notorious Deflategate situation will also play a role in the book, which will reportedly include a behind the scenes look at the comeback using multiple sources from inside the Patriots locker room.

While the upcoming film doesn’t have a set release date yet, we wouldn’t be surprised if a few Boston sports-loving celebrities popped up in the project.

For instance,Wahlberg has worked with Tamasy and Johnson before and is considered one of Brady’s “Boston crew” after all, so having him in the movie would be a pretty perfect fit. Let’s  just hope the filmmakers find a way to sneak in Ben Affleck’s Deflategate rant on HBO.
