The bank will donate 40 cents towards the fight against AIDS for any costumer that pays with their bank of America debit or credit card. Throughout the month of June the bank is expecting up to $250,000 worth of donations towards the (RED) foundation.

Metro visited Dewey Square at lunch and talked to customers.

Many agreed that the idea is great and are pleased to take part. One patron said: “This is a really good fundraiser for an important cause and the location is perfect because there is a huge lunch rush around here.”

Participating food trucks include, Chicken and Rice Guys, Moyzilla, Sabroso Taqueria, The Dining Car, Bon Me, Clover Food Labs, The Bacon Truck, Baja Taco Truck, and Momogoose.

“I feel like its really great that such a big bank would be taking the time to donate that kind of money to something like this. Aids is a hugely overlooked issue and its awesome to see support,” said one customer, Hannah Nahas.

The event runs until 3 p.m.
