SWAT Team nab Hyde Park man in connection to broad daylight shooting

Boston Police SWAT paid an early morning visit to a home on Gordan Avenue in Hyde Park on Wednesday morning, looking for a gun thought to be connected to a shooting two weeks prior.

Police obtained a search warrant andkicked down Malachi Scott’s door at about 4:45 a.m. hoping to find a gun used in a broad daylight shooting on Tremont Street at about 3 p.m. on Oct. 28. One person suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

Police found a loaded .22 Ruger, which they believe was the weapon used in that shooting.

Malachi, 19, of 58 Gordan Avenue will appear in Roxbury District Court on charges of Assault with Intent to Murder, Assault and Battery by means of a Dangerous Weapon and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
