Ernie Boch Jr.: voting for Trump like picking a girl for sex

Ernie Boch Jr. told CNN that voting for Donald Trump was like having to tell a girl at closing time to come on down.

The President and CEO of Subaru of New England went on CNN on Thursdayto talk about the Trump and Sen. Ted Cruz clash over accusations of fraud during the Iowa Caucus. Trump has accused Cruz, who won the Iowa Caucus, of rigging the votes.

Boch described supporting Trump as someone who is “stirring the pot, which he is really, really good at, throwing his opponent off kilter. And he’ll probably say even more outrageous things.”

But Boch went on to voice a controversial analogy of his own after saying that the pros of a President Trump outweigh the cons.

“You’ve got to think of it like this, it’s 2 a.m. and there’s a few girls at the bar, you have to go home with one of them,” Boch said. “So, you have to pick who you are with. And I think that Mr. Trump is the best qualified.”

CNN host Chris Cuomo was visibly taken aback by these comments.

“Hold on a second, Ernie,” Cuomo said. “Your analogy for what makes you the right guy when you get the bad call at 2 a.m. is what you need to do in the bar when you have women there and you have to decide which one? Is that how your head works?”

Boch back-peddled, claiming that the CNN host did not understand his analogy, but single people would.

“You know, it’s the end of the night, you want to go home with somebody,” Boch said. “You know, the bar is about to close. You have to pick somebody.”

Boch hosted a private Trump rally at his Norwood house on August 28.

“Whether you are for him or against him, you will be more educated in your decision for who to vote for after hearing him speak,” Boch said in August. “Is he a loose cannon? Maybe a little. But who hasn’t been a loose cannon in their life? That’s the appeal.”
