Officers used K9s to track the suspect, who was found hiding under a car.

The suspect eventually came out from under the car but still had his knife, officials said. Officers attempted to defuse the situation with a bean bag gun but were unsuccessful. Police then shot the man.

He was taken to South Shore Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The name of the man, as well as details regarding the initial domestic incident, have not been released.
