Protest preview: Two groups to make noise on the State House steps

Two diverse groups are set to converge upon Beacon Hill on Wednesday.

Immigrants Rights groups will meet outside of the state house at 11 a.m., protesting the deportation machine known as Priority Enforcement Program. This comes as the national attention focuses on “Sanctuary Cities,” where local law enforcement may turn a blind eye towards undocumented immigrant status while presidential hopefuls talk of deporting every illegal immigrant on U.S. soil.

Once they clear out, activists protesting the School-To-Prison Pipeline, calling for education reforms aimed at increasing access to better education in hopes of stemming the incarceration rate of young people.
