For the second time in a week a former Patriots player is speaking out on how the team disseminates injury information.

Brandon Spikes, who just signed with the Buffalo Bills, told WGR radio in Buffalo that the Pats bluffed on their injury report in regards to putting the linebacker on the injured reserve list just prior to their playoff game against the Colts this past January.

“I heard they put me on IR and stuff like that. That was just a false report,” Spikes said. “That’s just how things go there. Almost like what happened with [Aqib] Talib and his hip.”

After signing with Denver last week, Talib did say that he never had a hip injury while with the Patriots.

“The Patriots have their way of reporting stuff, but I haven’t had a hip problem since Tampa,” Talib said. “The injury I had was actually a quad injury. It was reported as a hip injury but that’s how they do things.”
