Breakers bow out of WPS playoffs

The heroes of the U.S. women’s national soccer team were too much for the Boston Breakers tonight.

Abby Wambach had two goals and Megan Rapinoe added one of her own, leading MagicJack to a 3-1 win over the Breakers in the first round of the WPS playoffs in Boca Raton, Fla.

Wambach opened the scoring for the Floridians in the sixth minute, but Keelin Winters sent Boston into halftime riding a 1-1 score. Wambach buried a PK in the 57th minute, and Rapinoe capped things four minutes later.
