Breakfast tacos, donuts and dumplings are coming to Prospect Park

Breakfast tacos, donuts and dumplings are coming to Prospect Park

This fall, your Prospect Park picnics are about to get a lot more delicious. Three new food vendors will set up staions at the park: King David Tacos, beginning Tuesday, Sept. 19, with  Carpe Donut NYC and Anton’s Dumplings rolling out later in the fall

These mobile offerings will join the park’s existing food options, which include the Bluestone Cafe at LeFrak Center, Smorgasburg Prospect Park (open Sundays through October at Breeze Hill near the park’s Lincoln Road entrance), seasonally-open concessions at the Prospect Park Carousel and Parade Ground, and of course, the bounty of fresh and prepared foods available year-round at Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket on Saturdays.

Here’s everything you need to know about the new park eats.

King David Tacos

Get your morning sustenance at Grand Army Plaza, where this Brooklyn-based, Austin-bred business will be slinging breakfast tacos daily. Choose between three signature tacos: the BPEC (bacon, potato, egg and cheese), Queen Bean (refried bean, potato, egg and cheese) or the Or’izo (Mexican chorizo, potato, egg and cheese), and rotating seasonal sides— plus plastic bottles of Topo Chico, the best seltzer in the land. You’ll find the mobile cart stationed Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and weekends until noon.

Carpe Donut NYC

Make your park weekends a little sweeter by visiting the Carpe Donut truck, parked at the Vanderbilt Loop Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Don’t miss the FroDo, a donut ice cream sandwich filled with Blue Marble vanilla. They’re also serving apple cider donuts, along with beverages including Italian-style hot chocolate, coffee and hot and iced apple cider.

Anton’s Dumplings

Get your dumpling fix down at Prospect Park West and 9th St., where this mobile cart does them Russian style — pelmenis. Choose between the potato, chicken or Siberian, and toppings like smoked Gouda fondue, Sriracha, soy sauce and sour cream and chive. Half-sour pickles included for free. Available Wednesday through Monday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
