A Brooklyn woman could face more than two decades behind bars after being found guilty Wednesday of violently stabbing her boyfriend to death in the basement of his Queens home in 2012.

Anna Adams, 41, was found guilty — after a jury deliberated for only one day — of second-degree murder, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, tampering with evidence and endangering the welfare of a child.

According to prosecutors, Adams — who sporadically lived with 46-year-old Jeffrey Perkins at his South Jamaica home — called 911 shortly before 6 a.m. on Sept. 5, 2012 and said her boyfriend was covered in blood.

Police responded to the home, located at 133-04 145th St., and found Perkins on a lower-level floor face up with stab wounds to his neck, back and head, authorities said. Perkins’ lower body was wrapped in sheets and blankets and officers found bleach stains on the covers as well as a strong odor of bleach. They also found one shoe under the victim’s body.

Authorities added that that there was blood on an outside railing leading into the house and there was blood on the walls and floor of the basement. There was also blood along the stairs to an upper floor and into a bedroom where more blood was found on the floor and walls, prosecutors said. Investigators also discovered inside the bedroom that sheets, pillows and other bedding have been removed from the mattress.

When Adams was taken into custody, according to authorities, she was wearing only one shoe — which matched the one that had been discovered under Perkins’ body. She then allegedly said she had stabbed her boyfriend.

“A jury has found the defendant guilty of murdering her boyfriend who was the father of her son. This was a brutal killing and a particularly bloody crime scene. There were blood trails throughout the house and even outside,” said Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown. “The defendant stabbed her 46-year-old boyfriend numerous times and then partially wrapped his remains in bed sheets and doused him with bleach. The defendant is now faced with the possibility of spending the rest of her life behind bars.”

Sentencing is set for April 11 and Adams could receive 25 years to life in prison.
