Calgarians back their black and blue

Calgarians back their black and blue.

According to a survey in which 1,007 citizens were asked about their views on the Calgary Police Service, nine out of 10 polled said they are highly satisfied or satisfied with the services provided.

Calgary police commission chair Denis Painchaud said he is “pleased that the CPS continues to enjoy a strong reputation and has the support of the citizens of Calgary.”

The survey was conducted in July and August of 2008 by the police commission by phone.

While most Calgarians agree the city is a safe place to live, the police said in a release, they still feel gang activity, youth crime and drugs are major concerns.
