Canada’s top team wins 4-man bobsled race in Cortina

CORTINA D’AMPEZZO, Italy – Canada’s top team won a four-man World Cup bobsled race Sunday.

The Canada I squad, consisting of Pierre Lueders, Ken Kotyk, David Bissett and Justin Kripps, led both runs for a combined time of one minute, 47.95 seconds.

Lueders moved to the top of the four-man standings.

Russia I was second with 1:48.17 and Switzerland I was third in 1:48.22.

Germany III was fourth and Germany’s top two teams tied for fifth on an overcast day.

World Cup racing continues next weekend in Cesana-Pariol on the track used for the 2006 Turin Olympics.
