Now that the temperatures might hover near triple digits, it’s an important time to take care when locking your car.

Frazzled parents should ensure that kids are not trapped inside hot cars this summer.

The Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association and the National Highway Traffic Safety Authority started a “Where’s Baby? Look Before You Lock” campaign to help parents.

In 2012, 32 children died from heatstroke after they were left in cars, according to the groups.

Eight children have died so far in 2013.

Children might play in unlocked cars, or caregivers might forget that infants are sleeping in rear-facing car seats, they said.
