Carnage atop Top 25 as football faves fall

Alabama’s run on top of the college football world didn’t last long.

Neither did Ohio State’s.

Just a week after assuming the No. 1 mantle from the Crimson Tide, the Buckeyes suffered a 31-18 upset at the hands of Wisconsin on Saturday.

Oregon, which had the week off, moves up to No. 1 from the second slot in the AP poll with 39 first-place votes.

Just behind the Ducks is Boise State, which garnered 15 first-place votes after blowing out San Jose State, 48-0.

It’s the first time Oregon has ever held the No. 1 ranking. The Ducks have a prime-time game against UCLA on Thursday.
