The Celtics (18-17) used a 30-point third quarter and a fine performance from rookie big man Jared Sullinger to beat the Suns, 87-79, Wednesday night at TD Garden.
Sullinger posted 12 points and 16 rebounds in 34 minutes of action while point guard Rajon Rondo returned from his one-game suspension with an 8-point, 8 assist performance.
It was the Celtics fourth straight win. They host Houston Friday night (7:30 p.m., CSN).
