A woman who received an experimental face transplant five years ago is reportedly back at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston Wednesday, after doctors said her body is now rejecting the transplant.

Charla Nash told The Associated Press that her doctors decided to end an experimental drug treatment and put her back on her original medication used to prevent such rejections.

The Connecticut woman received the transplant after a chimpanzee attacked her in 2009.

Nash said she would appreciate any prayers and remains confident that her participation in the military-funded experiment will help others disfigured by war, acccording to the AP.
