Bill Cosby’s show at Worcester’s Hanover Theatre next month has been canceled, but representatives of the Wilbur Theatre are tight-lipped about whether his scheduled Feb. 8 appearances will go forward. Cosby has been under fire in recent months due to numerous women come forward claiming the comedian raped them.
The Telegram & Gazette reported Tuesday that the 77-year-old comedian’s Feb. 6 show at the Worcester venue had been canceled by the promoter, Bill Blumenreich, who also owns the Wilbur. The Wilbur declined to comment on the comedian’s two Feb. 8 shows in Boston would go forward on Wednesday.
Reuters reported last week that Cosby was heckled at a show in London, Ontario, with one man shouting “You are a rapist” before being removed from the venue.
