Chased, beaten and gunned down in broad daylight, police say the murder of an innocent victim killed in a triple homicide on New Year’s Day was calculated, not accidental.
Investigators revealed new details yesterday at a Crime Stoppers re-enactment of the murder of Keni Su’a, who was simply a diner at a Vietnamese restaurant when masked gunmen stormed in and killed a known gang member and his associate.
“They tracked him down and they killed him. We don’t know why they would beat him and kill him when they could have let him go, but they didn’t,” acting Staff Sgt. Patty McCallum said, adding the men were masked.
Tannis Keteca, a close family friend of Su’a, said she hopes the re-enactment will help catch the killers.
“We just don’t want people to forget … and we just hope the case continues to progress. We’re just trying to move on,” Keteca said.
