A Boston woman gave birth to a baby girl in the back of an ambulance earlier this morning, according to a press release issued by Boston EMS.
Two Boston EMTs were called to the Keystone Apartments in Dorchester at 9:45 a.m. when the woman started going into labor, the release stated.
EMTs Hakim Reid and Bill Clapp headed to the hospital with the birthing mother but had to exit Interstate 93 onto Freeport Street to deliver the baby.
After the mother gave birth, her and her daughter were taken to Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
