When a hooker calls the police on you, you know you’re misbehaving.
Charlie Sheen joined the ranks of notorious celeb meltdowns early yesterday when he trashed a Plaza hotel room and locked an escort in the closet before police arrived.
According to reports, he trashed the pink Eloise Suite — causing $7,000 in damage to furniture and a chandelier — in a rage over a missing wallet and cell phone.
His ex-wife and daughters, 5 and 6, were elsewhere in the hotel when police arrived to find the actor, who has struggled with substance abuse, naked and drunk. A nude prostitute was reportedly locked in a closet.
Sheen was not arrested, but was hospitalized for several hours. His rep blamed an “allergic reaction to some medication.”
Onlookers waited outside the Plaza amid rumors Sheen might return. Junior Guzman, a Gray Line bus salesman, hoped a celebrity scandal would boost sales. “If they’re naked, tourists, they love it,” he said.
Jack Wooding, 21, a vacationer from England was unimpressed. “I’d rather see someone a bit better than him,” he said.
Jack and Lucy Wooding, vacationing from England, said they stopped to wait with the crowd, hoping to add a celeb sighting to the trip.
“We’ve never seen anything like this,” 11-year-old Lucy said.
