To describe Hobo with a Shotgun as being over the top would be like calling a beaver furry.

Directed by Halifax’s Jason Eisener, it’s like no other Canadian movie you’ve seen, and that’s OK.

The Hobo (Rutger Hauer) rides the rails into Scum Town, like Clint Eastwood’s Man With No Name, looking to buy a lawnmower. Maybe he can start his own gardening business: “You grow it, we cut it.” But Hobo can’t close his eyes to the carnage around him.

A sadistic capitalist named Drake (Brian Downey), and his stooge sons Slick (Gregory Smith) and Ivan (Nick Bateman) are terrorizing Scum Town by beheading people in the street.

Only Hobo and his new shotgun stand in their way. The lawns will have to wait.

Extras include commentary with Eisener and Hauer, deleted scenes, an alternate ending, video blogs and featurettes.
