The Philadelphia Eagles gave starting linebacker T.J. Edwards a one-year extension Monday.

Terms were not released but NFL Network reports it’s worth up to $3.2 million, with $2.15 guaranteed.

Edwards, 25, who joined the Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2019, has 76 tackles, one sack and a fumble recovery in 11 games (nine starts) this season. He has started the past six games. He would have been eligible to become a restricted free agent after the season. Now he’s locked up through the 2022 season.

“It feels really good. I came in here in 2019 as an undrafted guy and just wanted to put my head down and go to work and try to just get better at something and truly get 1 percent better every day,” Edwards said Monday.

Edwards has 176 tackles, three sacks and two interceptions in 39 games (25 starts) in two-plus seasons.

Edwards is the fifth Eagle to sign an extension since the start of the season.
