Crafty goodness
An inspired mix of local crafters — many of whom work exclusively with environmentally friendly and/or recycled materials — are selling handmade goodies this Saturday at the Good Catch Craft Fair’s April Showers mini-show, 12-5 p.m., at The Good Catch General Store, 1556 Queen St. W.
Vendors include illustrator Kim Kutner, quirky buttons by Sweetie Pie Press, Vintage Love’s retro-hip switchplates and paper goods by Coldsnap Bindery. Visitwww.goodcatch.ca/aprilshowers.html.
Knitting for a cause
This Saturday, 6:30-10 p.m., Sew Be It Studio hosts a second Knitting For A Good Cause event, open to any and all knitters who want to contribute to Streetknit, www.streetknit.ca, which provides hats, scarves and mitts to Toronto’s homeless. Sew Be It is now a drop-off point for Street-Knit, so knitted items can be donated there anytime.
