A falling tree branch seriously injured an elderly man and a teen in Fort Greene on Thursday.
The large branch fell approximately six stories at around 3 p.m. in the Ingersoll Housing Development, hitting a man and 17-year-old girl in the head, The New York Post reported.
“There was blood everywhere,” a witness told the Post.
Their conditions were not immediately known. It is not clear what caused the branch to fall.
At least three other people have been injured by falling tree limbs in the city this month, according to Geoffrey Croft of NYC Park Advocates.
A 59-year-old woman from Indiana was struck by a falling tree branch in Central Park on June 12, and a dog walker was hit by a branch in Carl Schurz Park on the same day.
On June 3, a 46-year-old man was struck by a tree limb at 96th Street and Central Park West.
