Man, what is it with Australian authorities and American entertainers? Chris Brown is scheduled to take his tour to Australia in December, but those plans might have to be scrapped if he’s denied a visa to enter the country — which he very well might be, due to his history of domestic violence. Whoops! Man, you get caught assaulting Rihanna one time and no one will let it go.

“People need to understand, if you are going to commit domestic violence and you want to travel around the world, there are going to be countries that say to you, ‘You cannot come in because you are not of the character that we expect in Australia,'” says Australian Minister for Women Michaelia Cash, according to the BBC — though I can’t imagine what other countries would get so specific about what Australia expects, but whatever.

The continent nation’s immigration department has issued a “notice of intention to consider refusal,” and Brown has 28 days to prove that he’s worthy of stepping foot on Australian soil. This should be good.
