Chip and Joanna Gaines are still talking about ending ‘Fixer Upper’

The Gaines Family

In late September, Chip and Joanna Gaines announced that the next season of “Fixer Upper” would be their last. Then they explained why. Now they’re explaining why again, because… well honestly, there doesn’t appear to be a reason.

The couple stopped by “Today” on Tuesday to promote Chip’s new book, of course — and to also wax poetic on deciding to leave their hit show. Again.

After saying that their relationship is “as healthy as they’ve ever been,” again, Chip acknowledged those pesky theories about their relationship being on the rocks.

“I’ll give [viewers] a little credence,” he says. “There is always ‘What’s next?’ And for us, the most important thing in the world is Jo and I’s relationship, followed very quickly by these four beautiful kids. And we didn’t want to push it, red line it, for so long that we woke up and realized, we are at a point of no return. So, we wanted to take a step back and focus on the thing that was absolutely the most important thing to us in the world, which is Jo and I’s relationship.” OK!

The couple — who are parents to four kids: Drake, 12; Ella, 11; Duke, 9; and Emmie Kay, 7 — also said they did it for the kids which, fine. Whatever.

We’re predicting next week, they conveniently open up again and say… pretty much the same thing. Until then!
