A sober Justin Bieber asked a drunk Ed Sheeran to use his mouth like a golf tee

If you’ve ever wanted to whack Justin Bieber in the face with a golf club, particularly during his endless want-to-be-a-bad-boy chapter, never fear: Ed Sheeran did just that.

It wasn’t exactly on purpose though. Sheeran toldThe Guardianabout one night when Bieber and him went to a dive bar in Japan. While Bieber only sipped water, Sheeran guzzled the alcohol. After, they went to a golf course where Bieber supposedly laid on the ground, placed a golf ball in his mouth, and asked Sheeran to swing.

Instead of questioning Bieber, Sheeran told the pub that he focused, and thought: “I need to aim this properly.”

The sound that followed was one out of the movies.

“ You know in films when someone gets punched, and you hear that fake sound, like a slap?” he continued. “But in real life when someone gets punched, you hear that dull thud, a bit sickening? I heard a sound like the last one, and saw his security guard looking at me like …”

Sheeran realized in horror what he had done.

“I’d cracked Justin Bieber right in the cheek with a golf club. That was one of those ‘What the f—k?’ moments,” the “Shape of You” singer admitted.

We want to know: why would a sober Bieber even suggest such a thing? It almost makes the time he was nicked in the face with a sword by Princess Beatrice sound like child’s play. Celebrities! Amirite?
